The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 40m) on the 1837 and 1915 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a shoulder of the ENE-facing slope of a NW-SE spur. Rectangular grass-covered, but poached area (int. dims 33.8m NE-SW; 31m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank with some bushes (Wth 3.8-4.6m; int. H 0.9-1.2m; ext. H 0.85-1.55m), and a flat-bottomed fosse or moat (Wth of top 3.3m; Wth of base 1.2m; D 0.4m) at the W end of the SW side. There are five entrances, any of which might be original, but the enclosure does not show any signs of alteration into its present shape. Nevertheless, it is probably a rath and the rath (RO042-084----) is c. 150m to the WNW.
