The National Monuments Service's description
On a gentle E-facing slope. Subcircular grass and thistle-covered area (dims 41.8m ENE-WSW; 36m NNW-SSE) defined by an earthen bank and hedge (Wth 6-7.4m; int. H 1.05m; ext. H 1.05-1.55m), with an outer fosse (Wth of top 6.3m; Wth of base 2.6m; ext. D 0.3m) SSE-SSW. There is no identifiable original entrance but the perimeter is quarried WNW-NNW. Archaeological testing (03E1027) immediately to the SE during 2003 failed to produce any related material (Guinan 2006).
