The National Monuments Service's description

On the gentle W-facing slope of a low hill overlooking a N-S section of the River Suck, c. 110m to the W. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 69.7m E-W; 62.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5.2-7.6m; int. H 0.2-0.4m; ext. H 0.5m at N to 1.3-1.8m generally) NW-E-SW which has been quarried elsewhere, separated by a rounded fosse (Wth of top 10-12.3m; Wth of base 3.2-6.5m; D 1.1-1.6m) from an outer bank (Wth 4.7-6.7m; H 0.15-0.6m) SW-NE which is incorporated into a field bank (Wth 2.6-3.3m; ext. H 0.75-1.4m) NE-SW. There is an entrance through both banks, and a causeway (Wth 4.5m), at SE, and there is a raised and curved platform (dims c. 30m N-S; 17.5m E-W; H 0.4m) against the inner bank at E (max. ext. dims 97.5m E-W; 94.4m N-S).
