The National Monuments Service's description
A caslte was held by Dowaltagh O'Connor in 1585 (Freeman 1936, 163) at Brackloon in Ballintobber barony (RO021-088----), but a castle had been lost by Myles Cavanagh to Irish rebels by 1596 (Cronin 1980, 117) and a house is drawn on Petty map in OSL. Not encountered.
