The National Monuments Service's description
On the N side of Brogan's Lane within Roscommon town. Test excavations (05E0994) by B. O'Donachada uncovered an oval pit (dims 3.6m N-S; 1.35m E-W; D 0.8m plus) that produced a handle of a green-glazed jug and a 17th century bottle. The pit was preserved under the new development. (O'Donachada 2005)
