The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a circular feature (diam. c. 30m) within an irregular enclosure or field (dims c. 65m NE-SW; c. 65m NW-SE) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and as a quarry on the 1914 ed. It is situated on a gentle NE-facing slope and is not visible at ground level where there is a grass-covered quarry, which may be the feature indicated.
