The National Monuments Service's description
On a gentle W-facing slope. The holy well of Kilgefin parish was known as St James', according to J. O'Donovan writing in 1837 (O'Flanagan 1931, vol. 1, 50) but it remains unlocated although it was connected with Kilgefin church site (RO036-012001-).
