The National Monuments Service's description

At the bottom of a gentle SE-facing slope of Slive Bawn. Circular grass and rush-covered area (diam. 36.5m NE-W; 36.5m NW-SE) defined by a low scarp (H 0.6-1m) with a triangular enclosure or annexe (RO036-010002-) (dims 20m NE-SW; 20m NW-SE) defined by scarps (H 0.5-0.7m) attached to the perimeter SE-SW. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance, but there is an outer drain N-ENE.
