The National Monuments Service's description
At the NW end of a low WNW-ESE ridge. Rectangular area planted with mature coniferous trees (ext. dims 21.5m E-W; 15.6m N-S) defined by a stone-facing (H 0.3-0.5m) at W and S, and by a scarp at E (H 0.4m). The perimeter at N has been truncated by an E-W lane. There are no grave-markers in situ, but it is known locally as Rath na nÉag or the rath of the dead (Anon 2001a, 497-8).
