The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on the 1837 and 1928 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on the crest of a N-S esker ridge. Described as the slight remains of a rath (Gannon 1972), which have since been removed. Archaeological monitoring (08E0669) of topsoil stripping c. 30m to the W failed to produce any related material in 2008 (Delaney 2011a) or 2009 (Delaney 2012).
