The National Monuments Service's description
A castle is marked at Tully on the Strafford map of Ballintubber barony c. 1636 (Simington 1949, map b (28)) where Charles O'Conor owned 115 acres in 1641 (ibid. 26). The castle was not encountered, but the moated site (RO029-117----) is in this area.
