The National Monuments Service's description
On the summit of a NE-SW ridge. Described as a subcircular area (dims 42m E-W; 37m N-S) defined by two earthen banks separated by a flat-bottomed fosse, with traces of a second outer fosse and an entrance (Wth 2.5m) at E (Gannon 1972). It is visible now a circular grass-covered area (diam. 40m N-S; 38m E-W) defined by an earthen bank incorporated into a field bank (Wth 2.4-3.5m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 0.6-1.8m) and hedge N-E-S, and by traces of two fosses (at W: Wth 3m) separated by a berm (at W: Wth 4m) S-W-N. There is a pond outside the bank N-NE and a drain outside the bank NE-S, but there is no evidence of an original entrance.
