The National Monuments Service's description
Towards the bottom of an E-facing slope with a S-N section of the Scramoge River c. 180m to the E. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 43m N-S; 39m E-W) defined by a flat-topped earthen bank (Wth of base 3.4-4m; Wth of top 1.3-2m; int. H 0.6-1m; ext. H 1-1.4m) which has three deciduous trees on it and is reduced to a low scarp E-S. The shallow fosse (Wth of top 5.8-6m; Wth of base 2.4-3m; D 0.3-0.4m) cannot be traced SW-WNW. There are five gaps (Wth 1.6-6m) in the bank, none of which can be identified as original. Rath (RO028-067----) is c. 180m to the WSW.
