The National Monuments Service's description

At the E end of a low WNW-ESE drumlin ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 40m NW-SE) with a few mature deciduous trees on the perimeter defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.2m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.6m) WNW-NNW and by a low scarp or fosse (at SE: Wth of top 5.6m; int. D 0.9m; ext. D 1.1m) WNW-E-SSW, but the perimeter cannot be traced SSW-WNW. There is no identifiable original entrance, but Gannon (1972) records a complete bank and an entrance at SE when the site was overgrown and the perimeter formed the townland boundary with Farnbeg NW-NE. Rath (RO029-020----) is c. 80m to the WNW, rath (RO028-022----) is c. 140m to the NE, and rath (RO028-069----) is c. 180m to the SSE.
