The National Monuments Service's description
Reference to the burning of the crannog of Lough Cairgin in 1388. The low-lying ground to NW of (RO028-019----) (diam. c. 50m) with the Ogulla stream on the NW side was probably a turlough, but there is no evidence of a crannog visible. Carrigin probably refers to Ardakillin Lough (RO028-104----).
