The National Monuments Service's description
Visible on aerial photograph (OSAP: 3/0144), and situated on a NE-facing slope. An area of about 50 acres (c. 20 ha) contains large rectangular fields (dims c. 200m x c. 300m) aligned NNE-SSW and defined by earthen banks (Wth c. 2m; H c. 0.2-0.5m). The fields are contemporary with a roadway (RO028-189003-) (Wth 7m) defined by earth and stone banks (Wth 1.7-2m; H 0.25-0.4m) aligned NW-SE (L c. 400m) which has the rath (RO028-189001-) and cashel (RO028-190001-) on its N side at its SE end. Enclosure (RO-028-191002-) is attached to one of the NNE-SSW field banks.
