The National Monuments Service's description
On a low-lying level landscape. Drystone-lined depression (diam. 1.4m; D 0.7m) which is open to NE and which has a channel leading E that surfaces c. 3m distant. The well is surrounded by a grass-covered cairn (RO028-180003-) (diam. 6.6m NW-SE; 5.9m NE-SW; H 0.3-0.4m) on which an ash tree and whitethorns are growing. There is no evidence of veneration, but it was known locally as St Bridget's Well (Gormley 1989, 62). Fulacht fia (RO028-180002-) is c. 50m to the WSW, and Aghclare church (RO028-181001-) is c. 140m to the S.
