The National Monuments Service's description

Marked only on the 1930 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a broad low hill. Described as a subcircular area (dims c. 111m E-W; c. 96m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth c. 3.5m; int. H c. 0.5m; ext. H c. 1.2m) and outer fosse (Wth of base c. 1m) (Knox 1914b, 352-4).

It is now visible as a subcircular grass-covered area (dims c. 86m E-W; c. 80m N-S) defined by a slight scarp (H c. 0.2m) or traces of a fosse (Wth 5m; D 0.5m). A NNW-SSE laneway overlies the perimeter at NE. Within this there are slight traces of an inner enclosure (diam. c. 50-55m) defined by slight traces of a scarp. NE of the centre and overlying the inner enclosure is a rectangular enclosure (RO028-093002-) (dims 35m NNE-SSW; 24m WNW-ESE) defined by a stone spread (Wth 3-3.5m; H 0.1-0.4m), with a shallow fosse (Wth c. 4m; D 0.1m) inside it on all sides except the W, and with fragments of field walls attached to the NW and SE corners. Attached to the perimeter of the larger outer enclosure at NW is a rectangular enclosure or field (RO028-093003-) (dims 58m NW-SE; 56m NE-SW) defined by stone spreads.
