The National Monuments Service's description
Marked only on the 1930 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a small feature (diam. c. 5m), and situated at a crest on the N-facing slope of the broad WNW-ESE Carnfree ridge. Grass-covered cairn (dims 4.7m N-S; 2.8m E-W; H 0.2m at S to 0.5m at N) with a flat top (diam. 2.3m N-S; 2.1m E-W). Archaeological testing (05E0854) c. 140m to the W failed to produce any related archaeological material (Read 2008j).
