The National Monuments Service's description
On rock outcrop in a low-lying landscape. Oval grass-covered area (dims 41m N-S; 28m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth c. 3m; H 0.2-0.5m) W-N-SE and a scarp (H 0.8m) elsewhere, with an outer bank (Wth 3.6m; H 0.3-0.4m) separated from the inner by a berm (Wth 1.7m) NNE-SE. There is no identifiable original entrance, and much of the interior has been quarried. Archaeological monitoring (03E0914) of road-widening works, c. 140m to the S failed to produce any related archaeological material (Rooney 2006).
