The National Monuments Service's description
A quantity of bones and ashes was discovered in 1944 in a quarry at Ballintober, probably that in the village. The bones were described as being in a tunnel (Wth. c. 0.9m; H c. 0.7m), about half full of ashes, but its length could not be determined. The tunnel was excavated into the bedrock (NMI file). Its precise location remains unknown.
