The National Monuments Service's description
Located towards the bottom of the NE-facing slope of a WNW-ESE ridge in an area of rock outcrop and rough pasture. A circular enclosure (ext. diam. c. 30-35m) is depicted on a Longfield map (MS 21 F. 44 (60)) dated 1770-1840 in NLI where it is described as a ‘Fort’. It was first reported by Edward O’Riordan.
