The National Monuments Service's description
Crossing the ESE-WNW Francis River in Castlerea town. A bridge is shown crossing the river on a late 18th century map (Kelly 2000). A narrow wooden footbridge (Wth 2.1m; L 11m) with wrought iron railings now crosses the river at this point.
