The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular wooded and embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35m) c. 40m SE of old Cloonalis House (RO026-018----) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a level landscape. This is a low oval grass-covered mound (dims c. 34m E-W; c. 30m N-S; max. H 1.5m) with three mature deciduous trees. It may be a landscape feature.
