The National Monuments Service's description
J. O'Donovan, writing c. 1837 (O'Flanagan 1931, vol. 2, 39), describes a stone (dims c. 2.4m x c. 1.2m; T c. 0.9m) on the brink of the Shannon with the impression of St Barry's knees which used to ferry people across the river. It is now at Whitehall Roman Catholic church (RO030-007----).
