The National Monuments Service's description

On an E-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 34.6m E-W; 34m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3.4-4.4m; int. H 0.2-0.5m generally to 1m at N; ext. H 0.6m to 1.5m at E), which is reduced to a scarp at SE where there is a modernised entrance (Wth 4m), and a fosse (Wth of top 3.5-4m; Wth of base 1.5-2m; D 0.6-0.8m). It is circumscribed by a field bank and townland boundary with Killastalliff E-SW and by a N-S laneway at W, while a field bank to the N has been removed. The site of St Patrick's Well (RO024-013002-) is immediately outside the bank at NE.
