The National Monuments Service's description
On a shelf at the top of the SW-facing slope of Mullaghcreigha Hill. Described as a functioning Roman Catholic church on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. The church is a rectangular overgrown area (int. dims 10.2m NW-SE; 4.4m NE-SW) in Letreen townland defined by a field wall and townland boundary with Kiltrustan at NE and the grass-covered fragments of the SE (Wth 1.2m; H 0.3-0.7m; L 3m) and SW (Wth 1.5m; H 0.3m; L 2m) walls. The church is towards the S end of a D-shaped enclosure (max. dims c. 100m N-S; c. 55m E-W) defined by a bank and outer fosse that is only evident as a feature on a Lidar image (Davis 2015, 174, No. 66:2). There is no evidence of burial, and the church is skirted by a NE-SW farm lane approaching from the SW that turns SE just N of the structure.
