The National Monuments Service's description

On an E-facing slope at the E end of a broad coll with hills rising to the NW and S. Circular grass-coveed area (diam. 37m N-S; 36.5m E-W) defined by an overgrown and partly poached earthen bank (Wth 3.5-5.2m; int. H 0.4-0.9m; ext. H 0.9-1.7m) and an outer fosse (Wth of top 4-5.6m; Wth of base 1.8-3m; D 0.3m-0.9m). There is an entrance (Wth 2m) and causway (Wth 4m) at NW, and the perimeter is circumscribed by a field bank SW-NW. There is no evidence of what might have been marked as a building (RO023-070002-) in the interior on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Rath (RO023-077001-) is c. 220m to the SSE. Archaeological testing (20E0711) by M. McCormick c. 90m to the SW at the closest point produced no related material (excavations.ie 2020:252).
