The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a subrectangular embanked enclosure (ext. dims c. 95m NW-SE; c. 80m NE-SW) with the perimeter missing S-W on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and as a subcircular field (diam. c. 80m) on the 1914 ed. Situated just off the crest of the W end of an E-W ridge on the S-facing slope. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 90m NW-SE; 80m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank at NW (Wth 3.8m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 0.4m) which has been incorporated into overgrown field banks NW-ENE and ESE-S. The monument is truncated by N-S field banks at E and W.
