The National Monuments Service's description

Just off the S-facing crest of a broad E-W drumlin ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 55. 5m N-S; 54.4m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.8-6.3m; int. H 0.2-0.6m; ext. H 1.2-1.8m) and hedge. There is no visible fosse, but old quarries are outside the bank W-NNE. The original entrance cannot be identified. According to local information a stone (dims 0.3m x 0.2m; L 1m) (RO022-121002-), now lying on the E-W field bank c. 50m to the W, once stood upright c. 100m to the SW of the rath.
