The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as an island (diam. c. 10m) on the 1837 ed. Of the OS 6-inch map and as a peninsula on the 1927 ed. atached to the W shore of Lough Nahincha (dims. c. 170m N-S; c. 140m E-W). Circular overgrown area with a central flat-topped mound (diam. of top 14m N-S; 12m E-W; dims. of base 27m N-S; 22m E-W; H c. 1.5m) of earth and stone which has a sloping shore (Wth c. 3m). Crannog (RO022-069002-) is c. 15m to the E and connected to this site by a silted landbridge. Mound (RO022-153----) is c. 200m to the NW.
