Visible as a feature on aerial photographs (ACAP: V206/28; OS 4/2049), and situated on a slight N-facing slope. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 20m N-S; 20m E-W) defined by a fosse (Wth of top 3m; int. D 0.5m; ext. D 0.2m) W-NNW, and a scarp (H 0.3m) NNW-N. It is truncated by a N-S field bank at E and the WNW-ESE field bank that formed the N side of an avenue from Cloonyquin House c. 1km to the WNW at S. It does not survive beyond these features, but what may be the S loop of the perimeter can be seen S of the avenue (diam. c. 55m N-S) on aerial photograph (ACAP: V206/28). Rath (RO022-065001-) is c. 170m to the ENE.
