Barrow - mound barrow

The National Monuments Service's description

On a slight N-S ridge on the N-facing slope of Rathcroghan. Circular, flat-topped and grass-covered earth and stone mound (diam. of base 13.3m N-S; diam. of top 3m N-S; H 2.2-2.5m) with slip around its base. Rath (RO022-056023-) is 3.5m to the S. Geophysical testing failed to produce evidence of any internal structure, but it is suggested that the flat top might be a medieval adaption (Waddell et al. 2009, 49-55).
