The National Monuments Service's description
Marked only on the 1927 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is named as 'Crockaunagat', and situated on a rise at the bottom of a slight E-W valley at the N foot of Rathcroghan plateau. Described as an artificial mound or carn (OS Name Books). An arc (C 12m) of earthen bank (Wth 3.3m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.1m) with some bushes survives SW-NW. There is no visible fosse but it is likely to be the last remnant of a rath.
