The National Monuments Service's description

At the crest of the N-facing slope of a WNW-ESE ridge. Rectilinear field system covering c. 4 ha (c. 10 acres) defined by low banks (Wth c. 3m; H 0.2m) consisting of large fields running E-W (dims c. 100m E-W; c. 50m N-S). A rectangular enclosure (RO021-042029-) is integral to the fields. It is visible as a rectangular grass-covered area (dims 16.5m N-S; 13.6m E-W) defined by slight earthen banks (Wth 2-3m; H 0.1m), with traces of an outer fosse (Wth 4m) at E. Pitfield (RO021-042028-) also survives in this area, and rath (RO021-042030-) is just to the SE.
