The National Monuments Service's description

On a gentle N-facing slope of a WNW-ESE ridge. Circular grass and rush-covered area (diam. 31.7m E-W; 31.2m N-S) defined by a slight grass-covered earthen bank (Wth 3-3.6m; int. H 0.1-0.2m; ext. H 0.7-1.1m) and a flat-bottomed, reed-filled fosse (Wth of base 1.8-3.4m; D 0.1m generally to 0.4m at S) N-WSW, with a scarp (H 0.7-0.8m) elsewhere. The entrance (Wth 2.4m) and stony causeway (Wth 2.8m) are at SE. Souterrain (RO021-042040-) is inside the perimeter at SW. (Herity 1987a, 126, 138)
