The National Monuments Service's description

At the crest of a slight S-facing slope. Rectangular grass-covered area (dims 49.3m E-W; 45m N-S) defined by overgrown earthen banks at W, N (Wth 5.2m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.7m) and the N part of the E sides, and by a scarp (H 0.9-1.7m) on the other sides. There is an outer fosse or moat (Wth of base 2.3-3m; D 0.1m at S to 0.8m at N) at N and the W part of the S side. A field bank and drain skirt the perimeter at W.
