On an undulating landscape on top of a broad N-S plateau. An area of about 5 acres (c. 2 ha) has field banks creating small rectangular fields (dims c. 30m x 40m) defined by low banks (Wth 2-4m; H 0.2-0.4m) visible on aerial photographs (CUCAP: AV1, 24-26) which are still extant. Larger rectangular fields (dims c. 100m x c. 50m) extend off to the N, covering a total area of c. 4 ha (c. 10 acres).
