The National Monuments Service's description
Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as conjoined enclosures (diam. c. 25m), and situated on a terrace overlooking lower ground to the S and SE. Circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 58m) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 3-5m; H 0.3-1m) WSW-N-E, and elsewhere by a partly natural scarp. There is no visible entrance, but its SE quadrant is overlain by walls of a subrectangular field (RO016-030002-) (int. dims 25.4m N-S; 21.2m E-W) defined by a stone spread (Wth 1-1.4m; H 0.2m) which has pushed out the perimeter of the cashel E-S, with traces of a second field attached to the S. There is a local tradition of human bones being found in the interior c. 1900. Rath (RO016-029----) is c. 100m to the N.
