The National Monuments Service's description

On a gentle SE-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area with rock outcrop (int. diam. c. 29.5m NNW-SSE; c. 26m ENE-WSW; ext. diam. 37.5m NNW-SSE; 36.33m ENE-WSW) defined by the base of a wall (Wth 2.5m at N) with inner and outer facing stones W-NNE which has largely been removed elsewhere. It is surrounded by a fosse (at S: Wth of top 5.3m; int. D 0.3m; ext. D 0.3m; at N: Wth of top 7.7m; int. D 1.5m; ext. D 1.2m) and outer earthen bank (Wth c. 3-6m; ext. H 0.2-0.4m) which has an entrance (Wth 5m) at SSE. A rectangular house site (RO015-043002-) with four rooms (ext. dims 16.25m NW-SE; 5.4m NE-SW) defined by stone walls (Wth 0.8-1.3m; H 0.3m) overlies the remains of the inner wall at NE. An ENE-WSW field wall overlies the site towards the perimeter at N and the perimeter wall does not survive S of this. A rectangular enclosure or small field (dims c. 20m N-S; c. 20m E-W) defined by the remnants of a drystone wall is attached S of the field wall and occupies most of the interior of the site. Burials (RO015-064----) are c. 70m to the SE.
