The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a subcircular hachured feature (diam. c. 30m) only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a level landscape. Although quarried, the slight remains of a bank was visible at N (Gannon 1972). It is now an oval overgrown quarry (dims 31m N-S; 25m E-W; D 1-1.2m) with no evidence of a bank or fosse and it remains unplanted in a coniferous forest.
