The National Monuments Service's description
In a flat-bottomed oval pit with scrub on the perimeter (dims of top c. 10m NE-SW; 6.5m NW-SE; dims of base 8.6m NE-SW; 5m NW-SE) which is at the bottom of an E-facing slope. The pit is defined by a scarp (H 0.6-1m) S-W-NE and by a straight earthen bank (Wth 2.5m; H 0.5-0.7m; L c. 8m) and remnants of a stone wall at SE. There is an opening in the perimeter (Wth 4.6m) at NE. A mass rock from here was incorporated into the altar of the Roman Catholic church of Drumlion at Drumercool (RO011-161----) c. 1.2 km to the S when the church was built in 1856 and it can be seen protruding from the rear of the altar (Keenehan et al. 2006).
