The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular enclosure with trees on the perimeter (diam. c. 35m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on the SE-facing slope of a broad low hill. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 29m N-S; 28m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.2m at S to 5.4m at NE; int. H 0.25m at S to 0.9m at NW; ext. H 0.6m at NW to 1m at S) S-E and scarp (H 0.6-1.05m) elsewhere, with trees planted on the perimeter. There is no visible fosse or entrance, and a NW-SE laneway to Dangan House c. 50m to the NW skirts the perimeter at NE. It may be a tree-ring.
