The National Monuments Service's description
On a low rise. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 33.5m N-S; 33m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 4-5m; int. H 0.4m at E to 1m at S; ext. H 2-2.2m) N-S-NW which is reused as a road bank NE-SE and is reduced to a scarp (H 1.9m) topped by a later stone spread (Wth 1.8m; H 0.3m) NW-N. A fosse (Wth of top 5-5.5m; D 0.7-1.4m) separates it from an outer bank (Wth 3-4.2m; ext. H 1.1m at S to 1.35m at N) SE-W-NE. There is a causeway (Wth 4.8m) but no visible entrance at SE, and a N-S roadway occupies the fosse and outer bank NE-SE.
