The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a circular enclosure (ext. diam. c. 30m) on the 1837 (MA 74) and as a circular area (ext. diam. c. 45m) on the 1914 eds of the OS 6-inch map, it is situated on a gentle SW-facing slope. It is depicted as circumscribed by a road SE-W-NW on both maps. Described as an arc of bank and outer fosse at W (Gannon 1972), it is not visible at ground level and is now bisected by a NW-SE laneway.
