The National Monuments Service's description
On the E-facing slope of a drumlin overlooking the River Shannon, c. 400m to the NE. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 28m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.2-0.45m; ext. H 0.6-0.9m) SW-W and a scarp (H 0.4m generally to 1.1m at E) elsewhere, with an external fosse (Wth of top 2.5-4m; D 0.2-0.6m) SW-N. There is a possible lime-kiln, visible as a rectangular grass-covered mound (dims 4m E-W; 3m N-S; H 0.5-1m) on the inner edge of the perimeter at SE with a rectangular depression (dims 2m N-S; 2m E-W; D 0.5-1m) defined by drystone walling at its centre.
