The National Monuments Service's description
Archaeological testing (00E0393) recorded an area of burnt stones overlying a porous pit which was excavated in advance of house-building. A second, adjacent, area of burnt stones (RO007-018003-) was preserved in situ c. 15m to the NE. Rath (RO007-018001-) is c. 100m to the NE. (Gregory 2002, 192)
