The National Monuments Service's description

Towards the top of the NW-facing slope of a drumlin. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 26.5-27m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.1-0.2m; ext. H 0.5m) at WSW and scarp (H 0.2m generally to 0.9m at N) elsewhere, with an outer fosse represented by a band of rushes (Wth 3m) SE-SW. There is no visible entrance. It remains unplanted in a coniferous forest (OSI images 2005).
The monument was damaged early in 2020 through the digging of two NE-SW forestry drains through the interior, but in so far as possible the damage was rectified through a full survey and the re-instatement of the ground under archaeological supervision (20E0280). No artefacts were recovered, but a portion of the bank survives at NW where it was visible in section as a brown silty clay with small stones (Wth c. 2m; H 0.4m) at the inner edge of the dark brown silty clay of the fosse, which had not been penetrated (excavations.ie 2020:123).
