The National Monuments Service's description
On a low-lying landscape with an E-W stream to the N. The excavation (Henry 2000b) of an oval mound of broken and burnt stones (dims. 10m E-W; 7.6m N-S; T 0.1m) revealed an trough (dims. 2.1m E-W; 1.3m N-S) which had a base of ash planks and one side composed of wattle. A plank produced a C14 date of 3783 +- 56 BP. Two paved areas (upper: dims. 12m E-W; 4m N-S; lower: dims. 14m E-W; 5m N-S) overlying each other and post-dating the mound were recorded just W of the mound.
