The National Monuments Service's description

At the mouth of a bay (dims. c. 800m NE-SW; c. 250m NW-SE) at the SW corner of Lough Key. Circular overgrown island (diam. 19.5m N-S; 17m E-W; H 0.7m) of earth and stone but with no evidence of artificial construction. Crannogs (RO006-030----; RO006-195----) are c. 450m and c. 800m to the SW, the three being known traditionally as the Hag's Leaps (O'Flanagan 1931, vol. 1, 119).
